Edapally Brahmana Samooham was established with sole objective of bringing Brahmins living in Edappally and adjacent areas, together and helps them seek their own cultural and social identity. The Edappally Brahmana Samooham is one of the oldest organisations of its kind in Kerala with a history dating back to more than 300 years. From a humble beginning, it has now developed into a vibrant organisation dedicated to serve the Brahmin community of Edappally and adjacent areas. Today, the Samooham takes up and successfully implements a large number of religious, cultural and educational activities under its auspices integrating and involving the community as a whole. Undoubtedly, this has been possible only because of the continuing cooperation and cumulative efforts of its 400 odd members, who have been displaying unflinching unity and sense of purpose over the years.
Gayathri Kalyana mandapam of Edapally Samooha Madom s was renovated in July 2013 with an air conditioned marriage hall and a separate dining hall. It is ideally located in Edapally, Kochin and is easily accessible from Ernakulam North Railway station, and Central Bus stands. Nedumbassery International airport is 45 mins driving distance only.
As this hall is owned by Edapally Brahmana Samooham, it is available to Hindus only, and strictly no non-vegetarian food or alcoholic beverages are permitted inside. Tamil Brahmin marriage ceremonies are given priority, and complete range of services for these functions are provided by many Brahmin Caterers/Event Managers
